Do you love grilling fish and seafood? Even if you don't, you'll want to try this sauce created by Eric Sloan of SloanSauces.com. Sloan's Black Dragon sauce adds a great sweet and spicy flavor to whatever you are cooking. The heat comes from Habanero peppers, but it does not overwhelm the meat.

I cooked some red snapper with the sauce this weekend and it was excellent! I added some lemon juice to the sauce and let it marinate for awhile before cooking, then grilled like I normally would, adding some sauce to each side and added a little more sauce after it was done. I must say, it is a unique taste with a good kick to it.

When I can get my grill fired back up I will be trying some shrimp and grilled veggies with the sauce. But, go ahead and try some yourself and send me your recipes.

Hey chileheads! What a great month it has been. In case you didn't guess by now, I love barbecue! So, with the release of my eCookbook, I have also been adding barbecue pages to the site.

With the Dat'l Sauce that I recently received, I have been coming up with some great recipes. My favorite so far is the Datil Dipped Barbecue Ribs, simply delicious. You can find the recipe on my barbecue pages. I definitely recommend trying the Dat'l Do-It sauces at the link listed below.

I have also been adding an articles archives page. This will be active soon, I'll let you know. Have a great day and go out and enjoy some barbecue!

Man have I been busy. In the last few weeks, I got engaged!!! We started looking for new homes, and found one!!! Made an offer and it was accepted!!! But, now we must sell the two homes we have by the end of next month. A lot of work ahead of us. I am so excited, and exhausted at the same time.

I did find time to order some hot sauces yesterday from Dat'l Do-it. Judging from my emails alot of you have tried these already. Their sauces are, of course, made from the Datil peppers grown in the St. Augustine area of Florida.

The heat from these peppers is said to compare to that of the Habanero. One can only dream! I'll let you know how they are, but I know I won't be disappointed. If you have already tried them, email me with your experience. Thanks and take care.

Well, I know that everyone is jumping off the Martha Stewart band wagon, Not Me! She has alot of great recipes and products. And, hey, I'm all about food! So, here is a great barbecue sauce I found on her site, it is on sale for 50% off. Sankaty BBQ sauce has been featured on the Martha Stewart Living TV show. This spicy sauce isn't too hot, but goes great with anything you are grilling. Give it a try, I'm sure Martha can use the extra money.

Wholesale tortilla sales in 2002 climbed to $5.2 billion in the US! That leaves our favorite accompaniment to hot and spicy food the second most popular bread, only 2% behind sliced white bread. Estimates are that by 2004, tortillas will surpass white bread as most popular. See the article, "Viva Tortillas!" at the Fiery Foods magazine website.

Check out this website: Wild Pepper. This guy, Jim Campbell, is a firefighter in Indianapolis, so of course he loves heat! But, in his spare time he somehow finds time to produce his own hot sauces and spices. He even sells dried pods and pepper mash, if you want to try and make your own. He has been featured on the Food Network a few times, so you know he must be doing something right. Go see his site and let me know how you like his sauces.

While shopping in my local Mexican market the other day, I came across some hot sauces manufactured in Yucatan, Mexico. There were several heat levels, so of course I bought the XXXtra Hot. I can't help it. The company is El Yucateco. Their hot sauces include a few milder varieties, and judging from the XXX they are worth a try if you come across any. They are distributed in North America. Give some a try and let me know what you think.
