Dave's original hot sauce was invented in an attempt to scare off rowdy patrons at his restaurant, Burrito Madness, near the University of Maryland campus. He discovered that if he served the drunks super hot sauce, they either became quiet or left.

So, his quest began to make the hottest sauce in the world. Later at the National Fiery Foods Show, the original Daves Insanity Sauce became the only sauce ever banned from competition.

Today, his offerings include a line of salsas, sauces, dips and snack products. Dave's Gourmet is sold in gourmet shops around the world, and his Ultimate Insanity Sauce is considered one of the hottest.
