The Heat!, Issue #11.1 -- Easy Crock Pot Recipes!
January 31, 2004
Hello,

OK, all the emails I've received this past week from you guys have been about one of two things.

- I love easy crock pot recipes, can you send some more?
OR
- So, when can I order some of your hot sauce already?

Well, I can help you with one request right now, and the other in a few days.

Today I am including a couple of delicious and easy recipes for crock pot dishes. As I've told you before, my favorite thing about crock pot recipes is they just make the whole house smell so darn good!

These don't necessarily have lots of heat to them, but would be perfect with a little of my new Gourmet Habanero Pepper Sauce, "The Heat!".

I will let you know next week when we are set to start shipping. Now, enjoy these recipes and I'll come up with a few more to send you tomorrow.

Crock Pot Beef Recipe

Ingredients:
2 pounds boneless chuck, cut in 1" cubes
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup butter
1 onion, sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
2 cups beer
1/4 cup flour

Directions:
Coat beef cubes with the 1/2 cup flour. Brown in melted butter. Drain off excess fat. In crock pot, combine browned meat with onion, salt, pepper, garlic and beer. Cover and cook on low 5-7 hours (all day) until meat is tender. Turn control to high. Dissolve remaining 1/4 cup flour in small amount of water. Stir into meat mixture, cook on high 30-40 minutes. Serve with rice and salad.

Enjoy these!
More tomorrow,
Chef Jay
